I have a few questions about torrents and my disk space.

Hey everyone. Just in case I have posted in the wrong section. Please correct me!
So, I am seeding 26 files now, assuming the number from the up sign in green on the top left of the website.
I just need to know, if I am to send files to my external hard disk and delete the files off my hard disk (because I'm really out of space now! , will my ratio decrease? I definitely hate to see my ratio decreasing!p/s: If I receive messages asking to re-seed, I will gladly help.
Thanks in advance for your reply!

You can move them from within µTorrent to your external drive with the advanced option of download location. That way, µTorrent keeps track of the location (stop that torrents before disconnecting the external drive) and you can continue to seed or easy restart seeding (aka reseed).

The number on the website represents the files you have that are set to seed, but does not actually represent the number that are actually connected to peers and uploading. The amount uploaded is what affects your ratio. You need to go into your torrent client and check a few things– which ones are active, which ones have leechers and the total amount uploaded per file or the ratio per file. The files that have a ratio of less than one can be safely moved off. Better yet, if your external drive is always connected, use the torrent client to change the download location of the seeding torrent. In utorrent this is under advanced options. The torrent client (utorrent) will move the file to your external disk and continue to seed it from there.
While I was typing this, Popper beat me to it.
