How do I re-seed a torrent that I'm not the owner and have the files?
-
I downloaded a time ago a torrent and I deleted from my torrent but kept the files, now I saw the torrent was 'dead' and I wanna to seed it to other people that maybe want that content too
How do I start seeding that torrent without being the owner of it but having the files perfectly intact?Thanks.

@max2000 Re-uploading is considered duplicate?

Hello,
Could you provide the Name of the content? I can check on the staff side to see if a "duplicate" of it already exists or if the torrent is truly dead.
Thanks

Copy the movie/data file(s) into the default download folder/directory of the torrent client programme. That is where new downloads go first.
-
Go-to the description page of the torrent to reseed and click "Download" to get the .torrent file and open it with your torrent programme. The torrent programme shall find the files(s) already being there, check it to 100% and start seeding.
It might be necessary to force a re-check. If it starts downloading the movie, stop immediately, something went wrong. Note that the file name(s) must be those used in the torrent's file list.

Interestingly I've sat with a video I downloaded here a year ago, it's been dead for months, but it was still in my seeding list showing as "unregistered tracker" (dead by copyright claim). I then used QTM to create a torrent to the same file and uploaded it, and the very same torrent I downloaded a year ago started seeding again.
