      For the first time in my many years with the tracker I starting struggling to maintain my seed ratio, which never used to even be a question. Even after aggressively snatching freeleach torrents, my seed ratio barely moved at all. I then looked around and noticed even the most popular torrents are barely reaching 1,000 snatches.

      Which leads me to my next question, is GTRU now just a small group of a few thousand users now? Furthermore, is the 0.8 minimum seed ratio of tenured users causing an exodus of users who cannot maintain their ratio due to the lack of anyone downloading?

      I'm curious is there's some sort of circling-the-drain element going on where there are fewer and fewer users to snatch torrents, which lead to fewer and fewer active users because the ones who remain are running up against download limits.

        @thesock I've seen almost the opposite argument being made, too. Some people seem to think that GTRU is too easily discoverable, which has led to a lot of DMCA attention, and would prefer it to go more private, which would mean fewer participants.

          @thesock

          We keep growing in the number of members we have, even with inactive member purges.

          I have noticed that there is a trend of uploaders no longer posting full movies. These were/are very popular.

          Fan site uploads are very disappointing for the most part, but we are flooded with it.
