      Hi guys.

Are we still seeding when uTorrent (or similar) is not open? Is there a way to set it to upload/seed more?

      Thanks a bunch.

@juniorcas you are not seeding when your torrent client is not on... (I prefer qbittorrent to the obsolete Utorrent)
Also, torrents don't always automatically seed. You should "force seed" or "force resume" them.

you don't have to be logged into this website to seed though.

Do you recommend qbittorrent, then? Would you be seeding when qbittorrent is not open, or it works like uTorrent in that respect?

            Thanks!

              I do recommend Qbittorrent.
Neither UTorrent nor Qbittorrent seed when they are not open.. and if the DID, that would be a very bad thing. That would take your control away.

Regardless of torrent [client]: Seeding means sharing a file(s) with other peers. After a torrent job finishes downloading, if you leave the torrent job seeding, it uploads the file(s) to other peers so they can enjoy them too. Although the length of time that you should leave the file seeding is not defined, it is recommended that you share until the amount of data you upload reaches at least the same as the amount of data that you have download, also known as reaching a 1.0 ratio. It’s difficult to know exactly when you hit this ratio but generally people who leave the swarm before even getting close to that ratio are labeled as leechers. Because leechers have a detrimental effect on swarms, some peers or even private trackers may block connections to you.
In Addition you should leave your client running until there are peers connecting...[Offline or disconnected interrupts seeding process...]
