While conservatives have called out the blatant racism of the comment, liberals have been defending her comment.
I do love the blatant fucking hypocrisy of the loving and tolerant liberals.

You are correct.
Had Owens not said what she said, perhaps Noah would not have over-reacted. Won't excuse them specifically for what they said themselves, but it would not be fair to paint everyone with the same judgement. Those who did wrong sometimes will have to face the consequences of their words and actions.
Would it be fair if I were to treat or view every Republican or Conservative as being bad as Trump or the Pro-Trumpers? Some actually even rightly feel that Pro-Trumpers are a serious danger to democracy and society, as proven by the actions of some of them (not all of them).
Funny enough, had you included just one more word in front of your title, I'd not even be participating in this post. That word? Some.

Showing causation is not the same as victim-blaming nor justification.
There is no "see what you made us do". Owens did not "make" Noah do anything, Noah is the one that made the mistake in how she responded.
Just as sometimes someone goes too far in responding to how caustic you are at times, by being unnecessarily caustic you have a hand in the causation of the resulting consequences.
Let me make a simple example.
Jack shares a political opinion. Jerry bashes them not once, but more than five times for being an idiot for even having that opinion as well as sharing that opinion. Later on, Jack shares a political opinion on something else, and Jerry again does the same thing along with calling him several derogatory terms. This happens at least three more times. Jack being fed up with being treated badly when he is sharing or participating, responds with a bad word that gets him gets muted or banned. Jerry gets away with no consequences, even though he had a hand in creating that situation.
Do you feel that is fair?

Any attack on liberalism is a direct and personal attack directly on them and their religion.
