Donating safe and private?
-
How do the donations show up on your credit card? I want to donate I just want to understand the connection back to me, is there a way I can donate and maintain my relative anonymity?
-
It showed up as QuickServe.de on my statements - just a generic service that a lot of places use. Maybe compare it to PayPal or a local bank - it is not connected to any one page, service, function, or purpose, it's there for a lot of people to use. At the moment though, only Bitcoin is accepted. The Donate page states there will be other options soon.
I've been a member since the year this place opened, and nobody has yet to figure out who the heck I am, nor do they actually care. GayTorrent.ru does take member privacy seriously. The forum is viewable publicly, but none of the usernames are. Even then, usernames are yet another layer of anonymity. You are correct that I do not know you.
Also, the only legal avenue pursued is covered by the DMCA link which provides an automated way a valid content owner can have content taken down. Beyond that, not only is it prohibitively expensive for content owners to pursue other legal avenues, it has been proven time and time again that doing so brings backlash and negative attention.
Safe and private? Yes.

If you click on Donate and the amount you wish to donate you will see there are several options to pay with. Apple Pay, Google Pay and Credit Card. Plus a separate box for bitcoin. I had to look to make sure as I have donated and never used bitcoin.

Wonder why I am not seeing the same thing. Currently have a star, maybe certain options stay invisible until the star runs out?
Edit: You have a star too, so that can't be it. Wondering if you're viewing a cached page.

Not viewing a cached page on this end. Just a mystery for now.

Attached is what I see at the moment, also tried in a different browser than I normally use.
Some mysteries I do not like! Agatha Christie is good, though.
