Problem downloading/uploading
-
Running uTorrent 3.5.5 45648 beta. have been running for years with no problem. Now, I'm getting no downloads or uploads on two different computers. I've removed and reinstalled it. I've installed the stable version. I've updated my settings.dat file with the recommended one from Rafi at uTorrent. I've adjusted settings based on online tutorials and nothing. uTorrent works fine with torrents from all other sites I've tried. Ratio is over 8. any suggestions? Also tried other torrent clients with same result. Again, other sites work fine. There's nothing in my profile and no messages on here indicating a block. thanks

There are a lot of things that can cause this. Click on a torrent that is not working, then click on the "Trackers" tab. There should be an error message next to the tracker. It should give us more information about what the problem is.

still having this same problem for over a week tried all the same things and nothing tracker says "off line/timed out"

Hi there! I've got the same issue. I've never had any problems with downloading after many years (thanks team!).
But now, suddenly, the error message is 'Could not connect to tracker'.
So, as advised from the homepage, I tried connecting through a VPN, and though I've tried two different ones, I am still getting the same error message.
Any advice for me?
THANK YOU so much for your time and assistance. It's great that you are helping us all out in the name of porn!

Hi friends. One more. I've got the same issue. Never before

Hello,
I had the same problem (could not connect to tracker) for a few days now. Found it from MrMazda that it could be an SSL certificate issue.
This is temporarily solved if you downgrade from Transmission 3.0, to Transmission 2.9.4

Wow. That did it. Thanks for helping me solve this problem. Hopefully it will help some of the others too. You're the best!

I'm having the same problem running surfshark VPN and uTorrent. Changing from https to http didn't help for me. If I shut the VPN off works just fine, im only 6 months into a 2 year subscription with surfshark so changing vpns isn't an option.

For users who are having a problem with the SSL certificate, you may need to use the non-SSL tracker. To do this, change the beginning of the announce URL from:
https://tracker.gaytorrent.ru/
to
http://tracker.gaytorrent.tw:2710/
You can also make this change permanent in your profile using the "Profile" tab at the top of the page, and disabling the SSL tracker.

Any update on the status of the SSL certificate fix on your end?
Turning off SSL tracker doesn't always work.

Actually, I just noticed you are using Transmission 3.0…. THAT is your problem in your case. You will find that if you roll it back to the previous version (2.94), you should have no issue anymore.

Yes, unfortunately I had to go back to 3.0 because the older version is crashy on my Mac.
Any idea when the actual issue will be fixed

Hi @SimonSaid
Also been having this issue, I managed to track down a solution that was suggested a few years ago in a different scenario with rtorrent, and it seems to be working again. I have posted it here: https://forum.gaytorrent.ru/index.php?topic=66678.msg342248#msg342248
It does seem to fix the problem in rtorrent/rutorrent. Hope it helps.

Dead torrents have no seeders. You can use the "Request Re-Seed" button and a message will go out to users who downloaded it previously asking them to seed it. That can can take a while if it works at all. If you are interested in particular videos, you might check to see if they are available individually here or on other gay torrent sites.
