Help! Is VPN making it look like I have multiple accounts?

I received a warning and had my download rights revoked after receiving a message saying "Our system shows you as having multiple accounts …" then proceeds to list 4 or 5 other user accounts I have never heard of. The messages goes on to tell me "not to bother PM'ing" with explanations, etc.
I have ONE account. I can only guess that this happened because I am using a VPN, and everyone else who is using that VPN (and that particular server) received the same message.
Has this happened to anyone else? What is the remedy? All over this site it tell us to use a VPN, then when we do the site is not able to discern VPN use vs. actual duplicate accounts?

If this happens again, please write the helpdesk.
Staff doesn't regularly monitor the forum.
There was a multiple-account cheater in that VPN group you were using, and you got warned, along with him, accidentally; sorry about that.
I've just now reversed that error, and removed the Warned Status from your account.
It's POSSIBLE that you may need to download a little something in order to regenerate your passkey (announce URL). If that's the case, older torrents you wish to continue to seed will need to have properties set with the NEW passkey. PM me if you need advice / need to know how to do that.
