While I'm against it, you could upload a torrent and ask for seed points in the comments.

HOWEVER, the request for seed bonus points must be honest.  If you are honesrt about asking for SBP then you won't run afoul of the rules.    I bring this up because there is a recent thread about a member who lied when asking for SBP.

At the risk of sounding like I tuned in late, what are the rules about asking for SBP?  Some torrenters are rather aggressive, others say inane things like "I seed 24/7 so SBP are much appreciated."  When I post a torrent, I sometimes say that I don't need any points.

You can say pretty much whatever you want to ask for SPB, as long as it's honest.

If you are rude, you most likely won't get any SPB.

You can't lie and say that the site bans people from uploading if they have a low ratio; for example.

OK, thanks.  I used to worry a lot about ratio and bonus points when I lived in the mountains and had a really slow connection.  Now I have high speed internet, and sometimes wonder if I should seed less so that others have more of a chance to improve their ratio…but that's probably a topic for another thread.

At least in terms of gay sites (there are only 4 major ones (including this one)), it appears that this "Seeding Points Business" is something that is exclusive to gaytorrent.ru. The site is incredibly easy to make a good ratio, there is absolutely no need to beg for points. Can someone logically explain to me why anyone should be begging for seed points like a street corner wino. And don't give me some shit story that you don't know how. Some of you have been here for years, or used torrents for years, there is absolutely no excuse for you. And if you are indeed "new" to torrents, you owe it to yourself to start reading. I have little tolerance for that. And I DEFINITELY don't like the idea of being disturbed outright asking for points. That to me is much, much worse than spam. To anyone who practices this unnecessary behavior, I will put you on my block list.

Some people live in areas with shitty BB, while others have good BB or seedboxes.

Both groups, in general, are at fault.  I see lots of people with fast internet doing insane amounts of seeding, while others are struggling to get a look in due to their slower BB.  At the same time, people with crap BB should take advantage of Freeleech.

Awh, yeah, I forgot about those people with horrible bandwidth. It's still a worry of mine, because it can easily spread and become a growing issue. I'm only sharing my input because I'm reading quite a few people discussing this. Even with free leech, you still have to seed in order to get points. Their bandwidth will get even worse seeding free leech files. I don't know, perhaps a good idea would be to create some sort of raffle contest, only for those with poor ratios? But they can't be newbies though. It's hard to trust in a newcomer. But, points should be given from the heart. Once it starts getting to the point where people give, just to get someone to shut up about it, that's the day we're gonna have some serious. Not sure how to handle it really. I just don't recall this discussion existing on the other 3 major gay trackers.

When people ask for help and we see they are trying, the staff always tries to help them.  Of course, rude people and those that arent trying to help themselves can go pound sand.
