Fat -Shaming

So have you guys experienced that in the gym? It happends to me alot. And i feel as the social pressure gets higher on guys having to have a " perfect" body the worse this situation gets. It has a counter psychological effekt as well it stops me from going to the gym alot of times which only puts me back in the eat not train cycle. How do you guys deal with this or have you never experienced this?

being a fat person myself. thankfully i haven't. it's actually rare for it to happen these days which your story surprised me off. maybe change gyms? because the culture there doesn't seem to be good

i just go less to that gym, sice im doing EMS training on a one on one with a trainer its ok. But i dont feel that the fat shaming issue has gotten better at all.

I agree, look for another gym if possible.
The gym I go to (people and staff) would never tolerate "fat shaming". We're all there to get and keep fit.
There's a much nicer gym across town but it's full of fuck heads, so it's not worth it.

I'll agree, as well. Shaming speaks more of that person's insecurities. Who knows? Maybe they have some body issues that they often feel powerless to control, thus all the compensating and overcompensating at the gym. That happens to me, a lot. But, I go to a gym that doesn't body shame people. Incidentally, it's a MMA gym, so we all realize that the amateur and pro fighters who frequently attend are doing crazy (maybe even unhealthy) routines to keep themselves ready to fight. While the rest of us are just trying to be healthy.
