How do I know what to seed?
-
I've enjoyed a rather good ratio for a very long time, but now that I'm more active I've gone down to a perfect 1.000. I feel like I should step up my game.
Someone told me that the way I've been going about doing things, downloading stuff and then letting them be on steed indefinitely, is horribly inefficient. Instead, they said, I should just upload the one torrent at a time, but to make sure that it's something people actually want. So if I look at all the videos I've download and what to seed, how do I see what I should be uploading and what I should stop/pause? Is there a golden number about how many torrents I should be uploading at a time?

thanks for the info

I would say look at the freeleach torrents and see if any of them are ones you've already downloaded, (easy as they get highlighted) and set them to seed, repeat this process as necessary.

Personally i seed my own torrents until there is a significant number of seeds vs leechers and when generally I am not really seeding at all.. otherwise i sometimes download a LARGE freeleech torrent and leave that run untill it seems to have no traffic after a week or so, my ratio is currently 3.4 so i must be doing something right

FYI You can legally seed 20-30TB worth of banked upload credit in about a month, simply by renting two ˜$60 FURIOUS speed RSB seedboxes then keeping a constant batch of ANY/ALL active HLLS FREELEECH torrents in the cue seeding. FREELEECH means they don't cost any credits to download. I recommend choosing your torrents carefully - with AT LEAST a 10 seeder to 1 leecher ratio [or better, ie. 30:3 or 40:6 or 50:6 HLLS [HIGH LEECHER LOW SEEDER] torrents running in your torrent client non-stop for a full month. Who cares what the content is, with this method you're just downloading select FREELEECH torrents with the VERY BEST SEEDING POTENTIAL. To help find these HLLS big pay-off torrents, use the SHOW FREELEECH link on the torrent search field, then scroll through for the very best HLSL [high seeding value] torrents.
Odds are, some of the torrents will just be duds (maybe 75%) and not even seed 1k or up to a 1,0 ratio despite having HLLS status - that's just part of the game. The remaining 15-20% of HLLS torrents will inexplicably seed up to 3, 4, 5, 10, 15x upload ratios - and those FEW PERFECT STORM torrents will skyrocket your upload ratio. After 2-4 days, you gain 1-3 TB of upload credits before the FREELEECH status expires and they lose all the seeders. The trick is to delete and replace those HLLS torrents with new HLLS torrents every 2-4 days - to maximize upload credits.
The more seedboxes you have the better - upload credit increases exponentially. You won't get busted for having multiple user accounts if you turbo boost upload power by running multiple seedboxes all filled with the EXACT SAME HLLS torrents you're running in the other simultaneously running seedboxes. I've only needed to run 1 or 2 at one time, and the credit builds up quickly.
TIP I personally restrict my download/seeding selections to torrents between 1 to 50GBs with at least 24 hours of FREELEECH TIME REMAINING. If you do rent 2 or more seedboxes, just load them ALL up with the EXACT SAME 100+ HLLS torrents… the end results UNEXPLICIABLY VARY GREATLY from one seedbox to another, even with the same torrents - it's just par of the game. Typically, one seedbox may seed 8Tb in a month, while the other identical seedbox will upload 20TB of data - using the very same torrents.

Seedboxes can blow your seeding ratio through the roof.
