Today Trump had a phone call with Chinese President Xi about having North Korea ending it's nuclear and missile programs, and to stop making threats.
Does anybody think there is any chance at all of Kim Jung Un ending his threats, missile program and nuclear program?
The chances of that are ZERO.
If China REALLY wanted to solve the problem, all they would have to do is stop propping up NK with cash and trade. China is probably where NK gets their missile and nuclear technology anyway. It would be interesting to see North Korea threaten to nuke China and see what kind of reaction that gets from China. -

Yes, China and Russia are behind North Korea. Of course they voted in favour of the ineffectual sanctions at the UN to trap trump into thinking he has some kind of victory. (Interesting that the trump and the trumptards have temporarily forgotten about their opposition to anything UN.)
The real issue is Chinese and Russian aims to kick the US out of the Asia-Pacific. The most dramatic way that can happen is to goad trump into leading the USA into another act of nuclear mass murder in North-East Asia. That will almost instantly mean that Japan and South Korea will end their alliances with the USA. It will probably also lead to the end of NATO as European populations will no longer put up with a military association with a criminal state. The USA would be expelled from ASEAN and other international organisations. Trump, as a war criminal, will be unwelcome in any country outside the USA. He would soon be forced to resign, but the damage would be done.
Of course, his advisors, especially in the trump businesses, would be pointing out that to act pre-emptively against civilians populations in North Korea as he has repeatedly boasted and threatened, would destroy his business interests around the world, not to mention destroy any moral ascendency and influence the USA still claims to hold.
The only option remaining for trump is a humiliating backdown unless he is unhinged enough to play into China and Russia's hands and bring disaster and ignominy upon the USA.

The reality is, he doesn't have anyone to send. It is amazing how anti-USA feelings have grown so much in the 5 months since I was last here and this from one of their closest allies.

I never said that the USA had a great reputation in the world under Obama. What happened was that during the 8 years of George W Bush, the USA had the friendship or respect of almost the entire world. Obama managed to lose all that friendship and respect to the point where the USA has no close allies left and nobody respects us. Obama never won a Nobel Peace Prize.. he was GIVEN a Nobel Peace Prize just for being black. That sounds harsh, but is true. What is sad is that Obama just USED black people. He hurt them instead of helping them. Obama was GIVEN that Nobel Prize before he even had a chance to do anything. Perhaps Shami94 can list the accomplishments of Obama that led to his Nobel Peace Prize?
