Can't decide on one single favourite… but Dark Souls, Ocarina of Time, Link To The Past, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, and Baldur's Gate II are some of my faves.

if we are talking about console, on PS1 I'd say resident evil 1 or final fantasy VII
