In a civilian job, if a woman takes maternity leave, and another person has to take over that woman's job… should the woman be entitled to her job and position back after the maternity leave?  What then becomes of the person that did the job during the woman's absence?  I've know of women to take a year off from work or more after having a baby.

(then they bitch about not getting raises or promotions just because they are a woman)

One thing I agree with feminists about is that it is outrageous that women are paid about 80 cents for every dollar that men make.
That is not fair, and is totally ABSURD!
Women should only be paid about 50 cents for every dollar that men make.

This is a huge problem all over.

British laws make it so it's best to never, ever hire a woman under 55.    Even women bosses don't like hiring breeding age women.

Feminist have fought and won to extend maternity leave and benefits for women, but have ignored the very real problems those same things are causing women in general.

Problem is that on a company's viewpoint, females in the breeding years end up causing more expenses than income and even if the ones in the positions of power are female themselves they have to answer for the company's profits.  At least here is not unheard of women taking maternity leave and being skipped for promotions (contacts and influence and the usual dark inner workings of work environments aside)

Dunno what would happen in one of your 3rd wave feminist countries (though I'm pretty sure it would involve suing, accusing of sexism and whatnot).  Also makes me wonder how those 'women-only' or 'female-mayority' companies work.

Not surprisingly, feminists and leftists are the worst people when it comes to things like this.  They never look at the various aspects of a situation.    They see their goal and never look to see what achieving it would do.

Not only did they advocate for maternity rights, they advocated for temp workers' rights.    Obviously, the 2 sets of rights massively conflict.    This causes businesses to shy away from hiring breeding aged women so they don't have to deal with it.
