How's this for justice?

In 2002, a girl named Elizabeth Smart was supposedly kidnapped and murdered even though they did not find the body. A man named Richard Ricci was accused of the crime, and while in a prison cell was beaten so severely by 2 detectives that were interrogating him that he died of brain injuries the next day.
Problem is.. the girl was later found alive several months later.. walking down the street.. in broad daylight.. with the family she freely / voluntarily left with. The father of the family that abducted her was an alcoholic who kept getting arrested for being a drunk, etc. This resulted in the man not bringing in enough money to satisfy Elizabeth Smart, so Elizabeth eventually had enough and ratted out the family that she voluntarily left her home with. (At the very least, Elizabeth Smart should have been charged with involuntary manslaughter for the death of Richard Ricci).
13 years later, the widow of Richard Ricci - whose life was ruined - committed suicide from a broken heart.

The media cooked up a load of false evidence on Richard Ricci including a rental truck with a load of miles on the odometer, red clay on the tires of the truck.. a pole digger, etc. The father of Elizabeth somehow KNEW that the girl was still alive. He didn't just believe it, he KNEW it. The police IGNORED the father. In fact, before falsely nailing Richard Ricci for the crime that never happened, they were accusing the father of doing it. They even pretty much ruined the father's life by portraying him as being a rich flaming homosexual who had a wife and children as a beard. There is even an SNL sketch about the father with Dana Carvey portraying him as a raging nelly homo. What..everrrrr! Youtube aggressively removes all clips of Viacom programs such as Southpark and SNL, so the clips are not available online.
Meanwhile... Elizabeth Smart is about to cash in on the SECOND movie about her story. The 2nd movie is due out in 9 days.

As we've been told, murdering innocent men is always a good thing.
Not surprisingly, the SJWs here agree with that. We know this because of the way they downvoted me for being against it.

This is a really fucked up case. It also shows why, even in this day and age, we can't have the death penalty. The police had their man and they weren't gonna stop focusing on him, no matter what.
It's called "tunnel vision" and is extremely common in policing.
