I'll back up the whiskey bandwagon. It's the way to go.

A ways back, when I hit drinking age, my mom would make Whisky Sours – using that powdered sour mix, lol -- and Canadian Club.

These days, I occasionally have Canadian Club and a soda mixer -- a Diet Coke will do.

                        I love Whiskey Sour.

For drinking straight on ice, then it has to be Irish whiskey.

Now that we're in the depths of winter, give me the brown liquors, both whiskey AND bourbon.  Plus, on the coldest nights, a glass of port.

Back to "drinking straight" – and there's a joke in there somewhere -- yes, Irish whiskey is a fine thing, in a large tumbler to complement my admirably large hands.   😊   Crystal, if at all possible, and Waterford never hurt anyone.

It's cocktail time in my neck of the woods.
