You didn't include the entire quotes. Gee I wonder why you made that omission.
Here are the two quotes:Interview with New York Times:

The blame is on the New York Times which restated what Trump said, adding the word HEALTH. This is why during the audio of the interview, the reporter doesn't mention anything about that $12 a year.However, Trump did make a mistake. He said $12 a year instead of $12 a month.
Again, he was referring to LIFE insurance, not HEALTH insurance.
I'm not going to blame you for this one.. other than you chopped the quote off. Blame the New York Times.

He wasn't talking about life insurance. He said the word PLAN. You don't get a life insurance PLAN. You get a life insurance POLICY.
He also said "you really need it" when you are 70. Why would you really need a life insurance policy then?
I didn't misquote him. The statements you added don't make the story any less true. The point is that Trump has no idea about healthcare. He is more clueless than anyone I've ever met.

We literally have death panels. Currently we have doctors and a children's hospital fighting tooth and nail to kill a kid (Charlie Gard) who they admit is not suffering.
Waiting times, without private health insurance, is beyond disgusting.
They have extremely rigid protocols that can be deadly if even the tiniest thing doesn't go exactly right.

I agree.. but there is one scenario in which socialized medicine works. In a country such as Cuba, which is a dictatorship, the doctors are not free to leave the country to earn big $$$ in some other country. They must work.. very hard.. and not sit in their office or on the golf course.. and they don't get paid massive salaries. Also, people can't sue the hospital and / or doctor for $10 million. People never understand that they can't have it both ways. Total freedom is anarchy. If people want freedom, then they must accept competition to regulate things like healthcare. If they artificially impose mandatory health insurance from people who don't want nor can afford it.. and subsidize that insatiable money pit of healthcare.. then they are just pissing money down the drain.
If people want to talk about an incompetent president.. you don't need to look any further than Sheik Obama.. who single handedly accumulated more debt than the previous 43 presidents combined. Bringing it from $10 trillion to $20 trillion. That includes the debt from the revolutionary war, the civil war, WW1, WW2, the Korean War, Vietnam, the Cold War, and the Cola War.

How is that any different from what we have in the US? CEO's decide not to pay for care all the time. Here is a case where Cigna decided that a 17 year old girls life wasn't worth saving.

Wait times has very little to do with socialized medicine. I have no idea why Republicans are always crying about it. It's a problem but not one that is caused by single payer. Where I live it takes 52 days on average to see a doctor and we have the highest number of doctors per capita in the country.

Umm, without private insurance, waiting times in the UK are very long. Hospitals and clinics come up with creative ways to help meet targets, such as giving people appointments, then cancelling them and labelling the person as "socially unavailable", meaning they don't want to come it because it interferes with their lifestyle and whatnot.
Umm, you are being dishonest. Your link is about specialists, not normal GPs.
Also, you ignored the bit where they said that part of the reason waiting times are getting longer is because pretty much everyone has health insurance now under Obamacare.
In the UK (last month I think), the news full of articles about not having enough dermatologists to meet demand, so appointments are nearly impossible to get. The same goes for countless other specialties.
If I didn't have private insurance, I would have died a decade ago due to a mismanaged ear infection that was raging and causing extreme pain, but the NHS system wasn't designed to deal with it.
I also have permanent nerve damage in both hands because it took so long to get referred when the NHS was telling GPs not to refer people unless absolutely needed. In fact, they were giving GPs bonus payments for reducing the number of people they refer to specialists.
As a bass player, it really sucks having reduced use of my hands and hearing. All caused by the NHS.

Another thing that makes the NHS suck ass, is that under the law, it's nearly impossible to sue for even the most blatant malpractice.
