Why hasn't science figured out a way to get rid of unwanted hair!? WTF

Every other topic I see here is how to get rid of unwanted hair! And just imagine what women have to go through their whole lives.
I find it unbelievable that science still hasn't figured it out. Laser, shaving, waxing etc are all temporary solutions. They take a long time and are expensive and very painful. (And no, laser is not a good, reliable, easy solution).
Just venting. I wish science would figure out a way to get rid of hair.

I mean, I get that there are a lot of more important things scientists have to worry about, but who wouldn't love a good permanent way of removing unwanted hair?
Commercially thinking, if someone does plan on working on it, they'll be super rich if they do figure it out.Although, in my opinion, directing the growth of hair from one region to another is better. I mean, think about it. If you could direct all the proteins and whatever which would usually be used for hair growth in your legs or something to somewhere else where you want hair, like your head and your face, that'd be fucking amazing.
Like straight up, everytime I trim my pubes and my ass and look at all the hair on the ground, I always think, "What I could do with that hair if it grew someplace else….." I have very thin hair (like on my head) and would love for my body to spend the energy it would on growing hair on my body, on my head, you know? -
actually there are some way to permanantly remove unwanted hair with ancient medicine which has been proved effective but there are some regulations like you have to use it before the age of 12 or 10 depending on person to be effective and then youll have super smooth body. and in the modern science there are some chemical drugs but they are illegal since they have bad side effects still i have seen ppl using them and i have seen male become impotent and women uterus lost its function but still alot of ppl do that in my home country

Because science usually tends to concern itself with things that really matter. All "weird" discoveries are usually by-products of research trying to find something else.

You just can't beat nature.
We are mammals after all, and we're going to have fur. Trying to cure hair growth is like trying to cure homosexuality. You might get rid of it for a while … but it always comes back.
As someone who not only was hairier than most of the people I knew, but someone who went through puberty earlier than everyone I knew hair had for many years been the bane of existence. Having spent my early childhood in the hairy 70s I found my post pubescent hairiness in the tanned and waxed 80s a source of shame. My dread of body hair had a huge impact on my esteem and sex life. I was probably manscaping before the word had been invented.
Years later I find I couldn't really care less. Recently I did some grooming and I thought Ugh I'll never do that again. Over time we learn to accept ourselves more and that means our bodies and everything else. My taste in men has changed – I like 'em hairy now, and unless you're into twinks I've found that's a pretty common change for older gay men to have. And because I like them more, I like me more. It seems sexier to me now to simply "own it" than to have it and try to change it. And thank goodness we are living in a pro-beard pro-hairy climate and there are all those wonderful hairy bear sites for our hairy young gay boys to see and understand who they are as men.
If science invented a way to permanently remove hair then when you are older and entering a new phase of your life, one where you may not only tolerate your body hair but actually love it, it would be too late and you couldn't get it back. Constant hair removal may be a pain in the ass now, but one day you'll be thankful for the failures of science.

yeah well if that was totally true no more male baldness and what about pigs ;D .. Helas.. science found nothing to cure baldness either , just retard it at most.
