this nutella controversy going on… The palm oil apparently causing cancer has lead to grocery stores removing this wonderful spread from their shelves and I'm going through withdrawal.

Hmm, it's not making much of a "disturbance" here (Philippines, my region, at least). Our local mall still sells Nutella.
But claiming that the palm oil they use causes cancer? Damn, let's just hope it's one of "those" claims.

If it is correct and Palm Oil is directly linked to cancer then there will a WHOLE LOAD of other edible spreads etc taken off the market or in need of reformulation…. they even quoted Peanut Butter, how could they, I mean peanut butter! I'll starve if they stop making that :afr:
Palm oil is also found in a lot of general household products as well.

Literally everything is causing cancer by now. I stopped buying Nutella a while ago not because of the cancer claims but because of the impact palm oil production has on the environment. Yup, there it is: I wank a lot and like nature, call me Hippie.
