      I live in United States, does downloading and seeding may cause me to be sued for copyright reasons?

        That is possible, if what you seed is infringing someone's copyright.

        GayTorrent.ru does take down any torrent which it gets knowledge the shared files are infringing ASAP, but until then it can be that an infringing file is shared. Therefore, to protect your privacy, better use a VPN.
