      I live in the Philippines and I wonder hiw Americans spend their christmas epecially their so called christmas dinner, do you hild it the night before christmas or the night of christmas?

        that's called christmas eve dinner and that's not just the U.S. that's like the whole first world. so on the 24.
        Some kids get their presents at the end of dinner ( around midnight or later so on the 25) others prefer the morning of 25.

                yeah well people say christmas dinner for short but they mean the dinner you have on christmas eve ( on the 24) same thing. Then on christmas day you usually have good food at noon. On christmas evening then it depends, because most people ( then it depends where you live) have to work on the 26 so they leave after the big christmas lunch in the afternoon ( some countries have  the 26 off ), or they might not eat that much because the previous dinner and lunch were like orgy of food so it's usually lighter.

                  I really think Christmas dinner varies from place to place. Another interesting holiday tradition is how people from the Jewish faith have Chinese food on Christmas (seeing as how they practice Hanukkah).
