I haven't really searched this on google yet so I don't know if somewhere in the world there is a gay politician, since they don't have gay leaders in some countries I know. I'm just gonna put this out here… what do you think of them as a leader?

I honestly don't think people will just vote for a gay president in any country (unless a closeted politician already became one), and I still can't see it in the near future. I don't know. It's just that, yes, however slow it may be, people are already starting to accept equality (although can hardly be felt). I don't know if this is being pessimistic or a realist, but I just don't see people agreeing with it, especially close-minded ones. How about you, guys? What's your thoughts about gay leaders and how they should change people's view on diversity and equality?

The premier of Ontario is a Lesbian.

I don't think she'll be elected again since she is so greedy and the people are sick of paying the high taxes she imposes.

Here in Canada we don't care what your sexual preference is as long as you can do the job.

              I don't think if anything.

A gay president or prime minister or state leader/governor whatever, it's simply that.

They are not the voice and savior of all gay people. In my opinion the gay politicians have shockingly done more suspecting hateful things than the straight politicians. Like to take the edge off of them.

"Like they are a gay politician, but they aren't pushing their agenda to politics so we have no issue with them." It's sad.

Honestly, it doesn't matter if a politician is gay or straight.  What matters is that they deliver what they promised.

Of course, Politics are a very dirty game and being openly gay is like drawing a mark on your back, slander and bad press are the bread and butter.

Lesbians will always be the leaders in this like everything else because they are more accepted than gay men.
