Coming from a pharmacist, always check with a doctor first before you take any pills. They will assess if you are suitable, if you are fit, don't have any health conditions that might pre-dispose you to certain side effects.
After that, make sure you get it from a reputable source.
If you are scared of priapism, a common remedy is pseudoephedrine which acts as a counter-balance to the viagra. If that doesn't work people will get the penis drained.
Priapism is not a common side effect so I would not worry too much - just be aware.
Do not take any of this medical information seriously without consulting your doctor though!

not anytime I have ever used it

I don't like taking it because my nose gets congested for a few hours afterward. Cialis is a little better in that respect, but the issue is still present.
Thankfully I do not need it for an erection, but it does let me go multiple rounds and increase endurance when my motivation might be lower than normal.

Unfortunately….I am unable to use Viagra due to an on-going medical issue . But at the same time....you never miss what you never had. I still have a pretty good sex life and it's NOT all about using your dick ......."have tongue...will travel".

Viagra is a very popular drug and millions of guys use it. It makes my heart beat a bit faster and my face turns red and gets warm sometimes but I still use it. It's not a big deal.
