Cats or dogs?

best pet?

i prefer doggies i must say, better companions
-
Dogs. I have two small dogs, but they're perfect for apartment life.

Gotta go with dogs, would prefer not to choose. But, they didn't get "mans best friend" title for being a slouch!

Dogs any day of the week.

Dogs

I prefer dogs to be honest, but would love to have both. ;D
-
I have both, couldn't image my life without them, sometimes is tricky talking about litter boxes and walks but is not like impossible
-
I have both but dogs are better
-
for me dogs
-
I enjoy cats very much if they enjoy me, but dogs most of the time enjoy you if you're friend to them or a caring alfa so to say.
-
I love cats. Dogs? I hate them, mostly because dogs acquire more attention. Cats are more solitary.
-
These are two very different animals like choosing between an elephant and hippo.
I once had a cat named Anna-Belle - is was very much beloved.
Dogs er cool too.
-
I like dogs, but I am a cat person at heart. Dogs are great as long as I don't have to be responsible for them. I am just too lazy for such responsibilities. That said, I also hate cleaning the liter boxes.

Cats are the best!

Prefer dogs, but love both!

Me personally I would have to have say cats. They aren't as active or useful as dogs, but to me they are a lot cleaner to deal with as you don't have to bathe them really. Easier to pick up after, if you don't mind cleaning litter boxes. They are very independent yet at the still time want attention sometimes, they live longer than dogs, and cost less if you take them to the vet. If they don't want to be bothered, a cat will let you know, but other than scratches on your arm, the cat won't kill you.
To me dogs are fun and they are very intelligent animals. You can teach them tricks and there are way more dog than cat breeds. You can also take them on walks and it's real fun. However dogs are very dirty and nasty animals (and it's not their fault). You have to groom and clean them at a constant basis. You have to take them outside many times a day so they can exercise and use the bathroom. They also can snap and become very aggressive one day for no reason and can kill people. (Again not the dogs fault). You can also get a smaller breed or a more calmer dog too. They also don't live that long, and you have to take a dog to the vet often.
I've owned 5 cats and only 2 dogs ever in my life.
Of my 5 cats. Two I had since I was little and since passed away from old age and being sick.
One of my cats I had gotten was supposedly hit by a car. (Which is why I say you never let indoor cats outside).
The other two of my cats are still living and are playing right here beside me.
The two dogs I had, the oldest one was a Labrador retriever that was the house dog when I was young. She became very aggressive after we only had her for a couple years. Back then they had stricter neuter laws so she wasn't fixed, so a mutt broke into our backyard and fucked her and she had puppies which we gave away to people who wanted them. She just became more aggressive so we gave her away.
The other dog I had was a beagle and he was very small. He ended up getting sick and passed away, but I really liked that dog.
So I just prefer cats, but I like dogs as well.
