Heard it, but, seriously? Look-wise, difference between Chinese Japanese Korean
-
Heard this from quite a few non-asian ppl who said they could tell difference among Chinese, Japanese and Korean.
I mean, generally speaking, is there actually difference, look wise? -
I suppose it's possible to make a guess but as with any generalization it's just based on the preconceptions of whoever's guessing. No nationality or even ethnicity has an exact "mold", any guess would be using characteristics assumed to be inherent to the supposed nationality.
It would be like asking an asian to identify a person as American, Canadian, Norwegian, German, Italian or Greek, for example. You can't say there is something that defines someone as a nationality, in terms of their looks. That's bordering on racism imo.
And especially in these modern times when people move across borders as easily as to the next block and the old prejudices are breaking down. There are few who regard interracial relationships as weird anymore. -
There's probably a fair chance that you, and those of your race, might all look "alike" to Asians (unless of course you, yourself, are Asian).
Bottom-line, when the aliens come to take over, they'll see us as all being the same–whether it be "humans," "earthlings," whatever; just as it should be.

I agree with you all. But still, there are ppl around who said they could tell differences among them. I blame the medias didn't do the justice when projecting asian looks. That's where the preconceptions came from.

Korean, Chinese and Japanese all have a different basic look. That is fact.

Look, just got one of those ppl here.
Hi Matie, could you please kindly enough to post some pics here to explain your "basic look" of the three?
I'd love to learn.
Thanks -
Of course there are differences both in facial features and complexion. It's the same way I can tell apart people who are French, German, Polish, Swedish, etc.
