Haemorrhoids - really depressed about them
-
So I was diagnosed with haemorrhoids like (more than) a year ago, but it was nothing serious to be honest. I did have fissure and I bled a lot (not because of anal sex), but with some cream & proper diet it got well and it was like that for a few months & I hoped it will be better soon. Then last few months it got really bad, despite good diet to keep the stool in right shape my anus is really irritated & often it hurts like hell but still I didn't notice blood. I went to the doctor again to have it checked out and she said that the situation got worse, they grew & it would be a good thing to go and get them removed with the THD method. I'm really depressed because I can't have sex & I lost will for basically anything because of this, the THD method costs about $2 000 and I'm a freaking student (have to pay the next year) with unemployed father. Is there any advice you could give me? I'm really depressed, what can I do?
Any advice will be good.

I've suffered with haemorrhoids on and off since I was a teenager (now 33) it started getting so bad a couple of years ago that I was having to take time off work, I had banding procedure done to remove them but they kept coming back, despite a good diet, then last year, I discovered I was gluten intolerant, I've not been diagnosed coeliac, but you have to keep eating gluten to get the diagnosis and it's not worth it, giving it a name doesn't really help me much so I've since cut out gluten from my diet completely. 5 days later I start feeling better (no more stomach cramps and things - this may not always happen) and since then my Haemorrhoids have healed completely. If I accidentally have gluten when eating out for example, I feel bad, and I feel the haemorrhoids start growing again then they die back once it's passed.
It might not work, but my sister has always had the same problem so she gave up gluten at the end of last year and has had the same effect so it's worth giving it a try.
For information and advice it's worth searching for gluten free diet and coeliac disease, there's a charity in the UK called Coeliac UK whose website has loads of advice, but basically it means looking at labels of everything you buy and checking for the ingredients: Wheat, Barley, Rye, Oats (many claim oats are safe, but the majority of gluten intolerant/coeliac people I know also can't tolerate them), that also goes for the "may also contain" bit. You may also find that once you have given up gluten dairy and soya may cause you problems, this will be temporary, I found I could tolerate only small amounts at first but slowly built up the amount and can eat quite a bit of either now. If giving up gluten sorts it though you'll be off gluten for life.
It's a bit tough in our busy modern lives because every convenience food seems to have gluten in it so there's pretty much no more take-aways or ready meals and the specialist foods are expensive, but a natural home-cooked diet is really the way to go to do it cheaply, good luck and let me know how you get on if you do give it a go.

Huh, I was never told of this to be honest. Gluten… I'm not so sure how much it makes my stool painful but I might actually give this a try but I really doubt this will help me since it would be too good to be true and avoiding gluten would be a real challenge these days. :crazy2: :crazy2:

I consulted once a specialized doc, member of some gay health association. he was a surgeon specialized in that. he was someone who normally have very rich people as patients in the rich part of some capital. I was like 20 with no money, so he offered me to bill me only the minimum so my insurance would work. He prescribed me 5 things: suppository of 2 kind + cream of the 2 same kind: he says you have to take a suppository and put cream all over it before inserting, and after that, use cream. ( suppository alone or cream alone is not enough. Cant tell you what kind of cream and supp as I'm not from your country but it was simple things, OTC, one with titane dioxyde the other with a slight desinfectant).
Now you need to take things like Diosmine everyday. You need to be thin, ( if you are overweight then your chances are not so good to get rid of that). you need to exercise, run, everyday and drink water. for stool a tiny bit of lactulose everyday is fine with french bean (contains lots of fiber) ).
I remember I was dating a guy who was a pool champion, so he was like 22, dry muscular, with a huuuge dick.. couldnt use it much.. what a shame… -

No-one's ever told me that before either, and doctor seemed surprised by the information, even my sister was till she tried it (she's a nurse). It's got to be worth a trial it's made a huge difference to my life, but as I say, it has to be 100% gluten free for that time. I'd recommend at least a week, ideally two to notice any difference, if it works, it will then take longer to heal.

It'll be hard to avoid gluten with complete family, it's not just me in the house. I'll try and think of something… :crazy2: Thanks for the advice too
