Yes, It's not uncommon to have several nightmares in a row, it may be the same one over and over or completely different but with a common theme or totally unrelated.
-
Ive had this happen to me before so yes it can be something thats common now and then.

As someone who only has nightmares, yes. I have kind of accepted as my norm. Most of them start normal, happy, and even sexual, but the tail end usually ends in horror. I kind of enjoy them to be honest. I mean, I don't think anyone would mind nightmares if they began as super hot sex dreams. A decent tradeoff if you ask me.

Yes, for sure. Try and look for something in your life you might be dealing with. Dreams and nightmares are your brains way of sorting through information and organizing things, processing events and feelings and emotions, so your brain is just trying to deal with what you are living in your waking life.

[This is is a 4 months old topic, OP has probably solved the problem anyways, but I will post this for anyone else who may find it useful!]
Maybe it's not psychological at all actually. I used to have the same problem and then a friend told me it's my pillow that causes it. I know it sounds weird but basically sleeping with a really flat pillow or no pillow at all will most probably cause nightmares (simply because of the position of the head and the nerves). So yeah, anyone who has suddenly started having nightmares out of the blue and can't explain it psychologically (aka no stress, fears, traumas, etc), this might be the clue! Try getting an extra pillow or replace your old one and see if it works! -
Yes, the best about nightmares is the moment you wake up and say "ah, it was just a nightmare."
I don't have them too often luckily.

Mental and/or physical pain tends to increase my nightmares and yes it is common to have 3 nightmares in a row…
