RATIO LIFT TORRENT
-
you have ratio problems because nobody leeches your torrent?
go to search and search for "ratio lift" (including the " marks)
or just click here
you will find freeleech torrents with extra extended timer. So if you load them (not affecting your download, you can be sure other do that too and so you can make credits)you might not like the material but they really do it for ratio
btw. you find a yellow button to easy search those torrents

thanks

I'm afraid I don't quite follow the distinction between a "ratio lift" and a "free leach" torrent.
Would you be so kind as to explain it again, in different words?
-
It looks like "ratio lift" torrents are freeleech, but with VERY long freeleech times. Thus, you can expect many people to download them, making it theoretically easier to raise your ratio.
-
indeed
they are just on longterm freeleechi thought this might help. lets see once we gathered more information about this
-
Ah, I see.
I've already noticed that a number of torrents (not marked "ratio lift" as yet) seem to remain free-leach for quite a long time.
Thank you for answering!

With the extended free-leech, it does seem like ratio lift torrents are helpful. However, the content offered is so limited. Many may not want to leech from the seeders (who need a better ratio) because the content does not appeal to them.

I think I get the reason why Ratio Lift torrents work.
If you have a low ratio, you are going to be free-leeching regardless. So the way Ratio Lifting works is if all the people with low ratio seed this, there is a better chance that their ratio will go up. Plus, if they just leave it running for a long time, another low ratio person will come around and utilize this option. The longer you seed, the more likely someone will get it from you. It might not be the fastest solution, but at least they have some way of digging themselves out of the hole they got into.
Hope this helps people who still might not get it fully. As stated, the content might not be to your liking, but that's OK, you just have to seed it, you don't have to love it.

I agree 100%
I'm just going to be blunt: The file sizes of the torrents in this category are ridiculous.
25.66 GB? Are you serious? I don't even have that much hard drive space, so downloading and seeding that isn't even an option for me.
The other torrent is near 2 GB. You've got to think about people who don't have that much space on their hard drives, too, and yes: I am one of them.
I'm not saying you have to cater to me just because, but maybe some of these torrents should only be a few hundred megabytes so that those who are facing limited space can download and seed something so they can raise their ratios.
I'm not trying to be rude, I'm just saying: Some of us do not have hard drives that are bottomless pits.
It's a great idea, though!

Hey there guys, first off let me just say that I am a huge fan of the site and appreciate you very much. Now on to my question about this ratio lift concept; I understand how to use boolean search terms and know that searching "ratio lift" is different than searching for the same words without the quotations. That being said, there have only been two torrents on extended free leach, or ration lift, since this project began. I am confused by two things, 1) Why only two ratio lift torrents? 2) Why do any torrents show up at all when you search for ratio lift without the quotations? Surely this is confusing to people and is probably a reason these people are hurting their ratio instead of helping like they think they are.
Thats it for my bitching, again I'd like to say how much I love you guys and the site. THANKS!

I don't think anyone really knows what it is there for. Some people thoguht they would improve their ratio with it only to find it wasn't permanent FL.
The choice on offer isn't very stunning. I get the feeling it got forgotten and is now orphaned
-
I had probs with firewall, was downloading but not seeding, also my first download was an old torrent before reading the rules :cry2:, fixed firewall prob, so I started downloading freeleech to bring up my ratio, I also started a "lift ratio torrent" and my ratio went from 89 to 40 overnight, now I get warning about my ratio, "lift ratio torrent" should come with warning "not for newbies".
-
rightclick, I feel for you. And I think 'lift ratio torrents' should come with a warning for everyone. Nobody has really come up with a convincing reason for it's existence. At the beginning I too thought the miserable offering would be permanent freeleech until someone complained that it wasn't.
Your best bet now is probably to download freeleech torrents that have leechers and enough freeleech time remaining that you will be able to finish before the freeleech runs out.
Just take things gently until you get your ratio sorted

I've just had a look at the 'Ratio Lift Forum'
What is the point? There are two torrents. Neither of them is freeleech, one had no seeders, the other has downloaders, heaven knows why.
Either anything in that forum should be permanent freeleech or the forum should be deleted. New members are being duped into thinking their ratio will be 'lifted'..
