Read that "recent privacy concerns were enough to have the operating system banned from several torrent trackers" - TorrentFreak.com.
Should I not upgrade?
Thanks

I have downloaded over 50 torrents on Windows 10 , and I'm not banned yet, so I do not think you should worry.

First time I know about this, but I have downloaded torrents with Windows 10 (and 4-5 from this site) and I'm not banned.

I have downloaded several hundred torrents with Windows 10.. and no problem.
I have also seeded them. -

The answer can be found in the last three paragraphs of torrentfreak.com's article.

ever since I installed Windows 10, from beta 'til now, I've never experience throttling or connectivity issues. Perhaps the ISPs?

Actually.. I have noticed something like that.
For years, my ISP throttled me (and denied it). My internet would be extremely slow, and I would do a speed test on the connection which would confirm that. i found a way to defeat their throttling by using a VPN to "tunnel" through their detection of bandwidth usage.
Lately, I no longer have the ISP slowing down my connection, but I am not sure that they have not found a more sophisticated way to "throttle" connections. I have a lot of torrents that are transferring very slowly, even though my connection speed is at 100%. -
I've been using Windows 10 for MONTHS now and no issues.

For those brave souls that have had it for a little bit, what do u think of it? I'm perfectly happy with 8.1; should I upgrade?

Yeah I'm pretty content with it. STILL some bugs here and there but it's a better experience than 8 or 8.1 imo.
Edge is pretty underwhelming personally but guess that doesn't matter since you can switch back to Chrome/Firefox/Opera etc. as you please.
The design is also better than Windows 7 imo. Another good thing is how light-weight it is. I'm quite fond of it after several months of use and after they sorted out the major bugs.

I have not had any problems with this issue, but I have read many stories on other sites about this problema. Go to CLICK HERE This site will show you step by step how to fix the problems that you may having with Windows 10. People need to know the Microsoft had been doing this earlier than Windows 7, they have been spying and gathering information from everyone using Windows. This site that I mention can help you stop the spying for Windows 10, Window 7 & Windows 8.1 & 8.2. I suggest everyone using Windows to check this out & to stop Microsoft.

Although there is not a tits bit of difference between 8.1 and 10, I would still go with 10 because Microsoft tends to punish people who don't keep their operating system current.

It's fairly easy to avoid the tracking as long as you BOTHER reading when you install and when configuring the device which most people don't do.

**True, but most people do not even read this information. This is what gets them into trouble. **

It's kind of creepy the kind of thing that Microsoft is pushing on all their customers. My only question is how do you deal with these configurations when you get a brand new computer from a big box store with an OEM copy of Windows 10 pre-installed? Is there any way to change these settings after the fact that the os has been installed, with these added options, no doubt?
