How to get rid of sunburn?
-
Any tips

Don't get burned in the first place.
You can use things like aloe vera to soothe the skin, and maybe a good moisturizer will protect the skin underneath some. But, once you've burned the skin, the damage is done. You can't undo it.

Indeed, sunburn is damage to the skin that can only be repaired by your body. The younger you are and the better you bodys repair system is the quicker it will return to normal, but it can take anything from a few days to a few weeks, depends on how bad the burn is and how your body can cope. You can apply lotions etc to ease the pain/discomfort, and some do claim to aid healing but it's really just time. I had it one from a holiday and it too about 2 months to completely return to normal, a lesson learnt and never forgotten.

keep the burned area cooled and moist. might sound silly but yogurt works great.
DO NOT APPLY OILS on fresh burns, you will just deep fry it even more.
You can take tylenol (paracetamol) to ease the pain, inflammation or fever.
