      I want to have some abs; maybe not a six pack but at least look fit

        I don't think there is a quick way without surgery. If you want abs, you have to do the work by diet and working out. Burn fat, gain muscle.I f you have a gut (which I'm not saying you do), you can strengthen those muscles, but they won't visible if you have a fat on top.

          If you are ugly, don't even try. They will not find you attactive because of you just have abs!

              I went from size 44 pants now going to size 30.  I am 66 years old.  I am competing in my first men's physique contest later this month  .. with 4 abs showing at the moment.  If quick and easy is your solution, I might suggest you not bother.  It takes months/years depending upon how much fat you have to lose.

              I train 2 hours a week with a trainer who provided me a low fat diet 4 months ago.  I lost 25 pounds of body fat just since then.  I work out twice a week with a workout partner at the gym, a young guy less than half my age who wants to pay things forward.

              I work out on my own 2 more days a week.

              I spin 3-4 days a week, and on the other days I do a minimum of one hour on the treadmill.

              I train for posing 2 more hours a week.

              It's a journey.  A lifelong adventure.  If you are looking for quick, re-read my response in another year when you decide to do it right, and feel bad you didn't take my advice at the beginning.

                There isn't really anyway to target where you lose your weight, so to lose a belly you would have to just lose weight in general. Jogging definitely seems to be the most effective method to lose weight, but is also the most difficult for some. Taking a walk in the morning on an empty stomach is also an effective way to lost fat. Just make sure it's low intensity, otherwise you're gonna lose muscle along with the fat.
