I am seeding every single torrent I downloaded and I do this 24/7 on a ALWAYS ON connection. Yet my ratios NEVER get to where they have to be. I vote on ALL torrents I download to get extra seeding points and these I exchange for Gigs to download….yet NEVER can I get to my ratios. I have even donated a few times and even THIS does not help. The ratios are WAY too high, you can never reach them. My last bet is to try upload torrents but that is impossible as per my previous topic.

You can add photos when possible, but yeah to earn faster and increase your ratio you need to upload torrents.
I posted in your other thread. QTM is very easy, straight forward to use. Just read the tutorial and follow along.

How long have you been an active user here?

I also have that problem about seeding too slow to keep up. So what I started to do was to only download, seed and vote for Freeleech torrent s. Its a long process, but better than doing nothing. Unless of course you decide to donate again. Oh and uploading awesome videos will give you lots of seed points, from personal seeding and gifts too.

@rimcrazy: You've completed to download more than 100 torrent's files, yet you seed only one. you could optimise your chance to upload by seeding some more torrents …
-
im facing the same problem too. but at least you have files to be uploaded and i dont…
-
There are two observations with your seeding:
1/ Your torrent client is not connectible. So if ever there are other seeders available being connectible, it will be those getting the upload to the downloading peers.
2/ You're seeding only one of the downloaded torrents and there the one with the most other seeing peers. that is not maximizing your chances to seed either.

What's confusing me the most is when the sites telling you if your connectable tells differently from what your torrent client says.
Also, confusing is when I can upload/seed (with other members able to snatch my torrents) and I am still not connectable.
I really feel that I am losing a lot from my situation and I am trying to understand it, I followed everyone's help, but still the same.

What's confusing me the most is when the sites telling you if your connectable tells differently from what your torrent client says.
First the site will tell you that your torrent client isn't connectible as soon as one connection attempt of the tracker fails. The tracker will retry 30 minutes later, so you can expect the message to say for at least 30 minutes.
Secondly, it would be interesting to know where your torrent client tells you it is connectable. If it is the green round sign just at the bottom right corner of the µTorrent window, it doesn't mean much.
If it is the µTorrent > Options > Setup Guide > "Network" test result showing a green check sign, your torrent client is indeed connectable and you can more or less ignore that blue message box.
However if the result there is a yellow/orange check sign, there is an most likely setup issue.
Also, confusing is when I can upload/seed (with other members able to snatch my torrents) and I am still not connectable.
If a torrent client doesn't get incoming connection attempts, downloading will (almost) not be effected and uploading is still possible, especially initial seed on own new torrents, but as soon as there are other seeder available the upload will cripple (usually).

Its the network test I was talking about when I said the client says I am connectible.
Its clear now that its not the entire time that the blue message is showing, I am not connectible. TY!

I uploaded two new torrents but on Vuze, under the seeds column, it says 0 of 1 seeds are connected. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Can anyone help me?
-
For uploading an own torrent a display of 1 seed (that should be you) and being connected to 0 is just fine. You Vuze won't connect to itself or any other seed, as there is no need for it. This assumes your Vuze is actually seeding (and not downloading).
What you need to make sure is that the torrent is started and not only queued and if it is done by "force start".
Is this the torrent from a few days ago?

I'm confused about seeding as well as my ratio is close to suffering. Why does one torrent seed but not the other? I've gone to uploading as what I like isn't that popular but now I'm wondering why this happens.
-
The torrents that you are able to seed may not have any leechers (people that want the torrent) that is why it will not show anything uploading, also it could have leechers, but they are connected to others seeders and not you.

Soji, you are nowhere near to your ratio suffering.
I don't think there is anyone on the planet who can explain how or why the programs choose one seeder over another. There are plenty who will give you a general answer but I have found no-one who can tell me the details (I am not sure I want the details)
Just leave things seeding and go away. Sometimes it's amazing what happens
-
I see. I was curious if it was just a uploader thing (never done it before) or normal.

Considering I was banned from other sites due to this I know how quickly oddly non-seeding DLs can catch up with me, sadly. :cry2:

We will always try to help you with your ratio. There are also many ways you can increase your ratio. We also don't ban for a below minimum ratio, we do however suspend downloading rights until you are back above the minimum.
Just remember to always seed what you download, share back with the community and vote on the categories of the torrents you have downloaded.
-
I have noticed when I do fall I get a message well before being just being banned in 2 days, its why I've stayed here for so long. So thanks a lot for that.
-
The more you download the higher your ratio will rise and the more time you are granted to bring your ratio back up to the minimum once it falls below that level.
Click on Ratio in them menu bar to see The Rationator Table.
