The entire bear category is a major turn-on for me.  From otters to chubs.
I'm a cub and I hate that about myself.  I find other cubs attractive, but when I see myself I want to train hard, get lean, and probably wax myself.  I often find myself unwilling to have sex because I don't want my partner to endure that grotesque sight.

So, does anyone else have something that turns them on when it pertains to others but turns them off when it pertains to themselves?

But you're not having sex with yourself, your partner isn't 'enduring' but enjoying. He chose to have sex with you - there is a reason 🙂

That is really uplifting.  😮  That makes me feel better, but it doesn't help me look in a mirror.

Well that's easily fixed. Stop looking in the mirror and find a partner to look at. Much more fun  ;D

Hahah!  I love that I came looking for someone to share in my pain and I found support instead.  Thanks cannon.  😄

it's your body, it's your choice 🙂  if you don't like something about yourself change that.. but change it for the right reasons not for the wrong ones
change it because you want that because you don't like that
never change something about yourself because you think someone else might not like that.. not many people in your life are worth changing for and besides you might change something under the wrong presumption and end up losing someone might like about you 😛

Oh I know exactly what you mean! I'm on the verge of being a bear and my boyfriend loves the way I look: he keeps on telling me how sexy I am, and all I want to do is throw up everything I've ever eaten 😞 I used to be the slimmest of twinks and stayed thin until 6 years ago. Then I got sick, the weight piled on, and only bulimia can save me from crossing fully into bear territory  :cry2:

But it's weird how many young, goodlooking guys try to pick me up. When I look at a mirror, I'm heartbroken

I guess you'll just have to find a way to love yourself as you are. Booze helps 😉

I should probably talk to my partner before I put too much effort into my build.  It is something I want, but we should probably talk before I commit to a gym membership or something.  We've talked about trying to get healthier together, but we've never talked about the kind of shape we want to work ourselves into.

Happy to know I'm not alone.  I disagree with bulimia, but I know how you feel.  Everyone else has given me great advice: Don't look at yourself, look at your partner and don't do stuff for the wrong reasons.
At least other guys try to pick you up.  I know I shouldn't worry about that when I have a partner who loves me and I love, but it would be a nice little confidence boost… but a little weight just makes you more cuddly and less fragile.  Don't worry too much if you're working into bear territory, just work to keep it where you're comfortable and know that the few extra pounds say you're cuddly and can take or give a pounding.  😛
(And before anyone says I contradict myself, my BMI is Obese II almost Obese III.)

You have someone that loves you. I'm fairly certain that when he looks at you, he sees the things that you can't see in a mirror. I have been in the underweight category my entire life, and I've always dated bigger guys. Bigger guys are more fun to be around. This thread seems to be all on the same page.

It seems to boil down to this though- you and your partner love each other. Ask him what he sees when he looks at you, don't ask a mirror… mirrors never have anything good to say

but my penis loves the inside of your butt…

I understand man.  I hate it when a guy shaves their body hair but I do heavy trimming and some shaving myself.  Also, I'm not attracted to pretty boys but that is how I am categorized by many men.  Also, I prefer men to be thick or have a dad bod but I work hard to stay slim and fit.
Hey, at least you are part of the bear scene as a cub.  I love bears, cubs, and otters but I am naturally fairly hairless, small and "pretty" so they don't give me the time of day. Count your blessings dude, the guys I want want you.  You can't be too bad if a "pretty boy" is jealous of you.  And like a previous post said, they are there for you because they liked what they saw.  Don't hide, let the men enjoy your full, hairy body.  I mean, that is why they chose to be in your bed.  Nothing better than sliding your cock in a nice thick ass  😉

For many, physical appearance may be anything they must look firsthand in a relationship. I think about this; if your partner think you look good in anyway you look, you should feel good about yourself. He doesn't expect you to change the way you look, then he must love you for whoever you are. Just be confident. The point is you have who loves you 🙂

On the contrary, I kinda hate if someone falls in love with the way someone's look I consider them to only love their looks, not their overall personality…

Nevertheless, just enjoy being you 😉

I feel ya, but seriously, I don't think we should change our appearance for other people. Let me give a something like an example, if I am in a loving relationship, sure my friend would like me for my looks, but also he should like me for my character and everything connected to that. And I think the character and all are more important than the looks. Now do not forget that time changes us, and if for example I would get wrinkles, or get very lean, or very fat, my partner should still love me for my character and soul and all. Of course, it can be very normal that if we are overweight and all our partners(if they do trully love us) they should point it out to us politely and tell us to fix it for health issues and not for appearance issues… (Keep in mind I cannot express myself very easy in english, I hope I made my self clear and didn't offend anyone) But overall it is us who should love our bodies and image.
