I'm surprised that Israel is up there at the top since they have a lot of mixed blood from the various regions they've lived in.    You'd think they'd take a bit of a hit from that.

Nutrition, climate and culture are the factors that determine height.

It is as you say.  In the article, it points out how diet and exercise has increased people's height, especially in the Netherlands where the government has passed legislation to increase door heights.
