Doing cardio will help you lose fat. Jogging, running, jumping, cycling, anything that increases your heart rate.
If you don't want to go out to jog, or to the gym, I read that the workout series Insanity is pretty good for fat loss.

As above. Aerobics i.e. you'll be breathing a lot, that raise your heart rate, get you sweaty and expend energy. Find the one that you're motivated to keep doing and the context that works for you. I run with a local group, for example.
If you're committed to losing weight though, the simple fact is that your energy out must be greater than energy in for your body to start burning the reserves. Eat healthy foods in healthy proportions. Avoid highly sugary things especially. It can be a big change so you can do it gradually but commit to a reasonable, achieveable but meaningful goal and make yourself get there.
