Although the scene at the beginning is a guy spying on another guy (who likes toys) with a woman, it is quite hot. Haven't finished the books yet, but so far that was my favorite scene.

Although, I wonder if it's more cultural than inherent.  If we were a culture that were open to and regularly expressed nudity, maybe the thrill of watching would become mute.  Perhaps it's the inhibition of nudity and sex that provokes one to be voyeuristic.

I'm not sure about the accuracy of your numbers, but I get your point.  Homosexuality is taboo in many, if not most countries of the world.  Even here in the U.S. discrimination against homosexuals is still openly accepted.   (Though, I'm not sure what this has to do with the specific topic of voyeurism.)

Voyeurism has been played out in the movies, though typically portrayed in a sinister way (Sliver). but it's no secret that people have at least fantasized about it for ages, if not acted on it.  I have often fantasized about voyeurism and have tried on occasion to sneak a peak (although i'm usually too scared to get a real glimpse) at guys in the HS shower or at the urinals and i love those types of porns. I've had similar experiences from both apartment and hotel window views.  Most recently, a visit to NYC, my hotel room overlooked some apartments.  I saw regularly a woman, and a man one floor below, undress while getting ready for bed.  Neither were especially hot, the excitement came from seeing what was not meant for me.
