I finding it hard (pardon the pun) to locate where i can dump my wallpapers. i've done a quick search on the forum, but only found dead links.

so here's a quick offering of some of the stuff i've been doing of late, all images are 1680x1050.

I dont believe this is a good idea at all.

One of the joys of building your own machine is spending weeks researching components, then putting everything together and hoping and prayin you haven't fried anything.
This would take the fun out of it. downloading some firmware to make your pc run faster?!?!? just put ubuntu on it, and have done.
If this is going to become the norm, for nubs i can understand, but personally i think i'd rather switch to AMD. Its a shame they haven't caught up in the race yet. the first pc i built was a duron, and its still going (2001).
It sounds like something you'd pick up in the supermarket when you were buying some steak and a few cans of beer.

if you can't afford a dedicated high bandwidth line, then why not go down the route of a seedbox?

they start at about 12 euros a month, and save you money not having to have a pc/server on all the time.

im not sure what other peoples views are regarding seed boxes, but having one for the previous month has made a huge difference to my ratios.

best thing aswell, you access it via SSH so its completely secure.
