My ex was a religious African-american believer, and he just can't face his Identity i guess, he felt guilt and even went to study bible as daily routine. we still live together and love each other though, but it's just not the same any more

Religions just a result of the successive social progress i guess. but globally speaking, without religious, that's not a imperfect society anymore, as nothing is perfect.
