is the source code for the current qtm available anywhere? If one of us OS X devels could use the current programs build as a reference, creating a OS X program that runs the same probably wouldnt be that difficult.

RE: Best anti virus software for a mac?
Just turn on firewall, keep a password on, make backups to an external drive, and use a vm for anything you might think is dangerous.

If you use other apple products normally, I would definitely go with iOS.

RE: Organizing/Renaming Media
I am on the same boat with you. I have over a tb of content, and I have looked at a lot of programs for organizing, tagging, and sorting media. If you can get it to work with wine, I have found that for me, windows live photo gallery is my favorite sorting tool. It works great with folder based libraries, adding tags is easy, and it can auto import most existing metadata.

RE: Question about IPhone 7
I just upgraded from the 5s to the 7. I got it on sale on black friday, so that was a plus. If you have a 6s or 6s Plus, i'd suggest waiting for the next model. If you have a 6 or 6 plus or lower, i'd say its worth considering upgrading to the seven or seven plus. The biggest things ive noticed are the speed of the new touch id sensor, and the stereo speakers. But the camera is also improved, and the battery life is noticeably longer.

RE: Best anti virus software for a mac?
What for?
I mean there is malwarebytes… but macs in general are safe. If you run VM's isolate the VM.

RE: Mac or pc?
Ive been on PC up until a year ago.
Mac is the way to go. Its more stable, laptops have longer battery, they are more powerful, the customer support is amazing, they are super easy to use and back up. The flash storage on Macs make them super fast as well.
Ultimately you should just go to an apple store and ask to try out a Mac. They will let you and you can get a feel for the system.
Some people say they are not upgradeable, but the point is you put the $$ in at the beginning, it lasts a long time. I have macs from 1998 that still work.
Also most people that hate macs have never used one, or want one and cant afford it and are cranky.
