Heinz ran a tv ad that had 2 men kissing {a small peck on the lips} for 1 week before pulling it after receiving 200 complaints in the UK.

The ad was run on ITV and even if all 200 complaints were from the same night, that's 1 complaint per 30,000 viewers.

You can send them an email by going to hXXp://www.heinz.com/corporate_contact.aspx and filling out the form.

I will no longer be buying any of their products, because they are more concerned with the opinions of bigots over the millions of their gay customers worldwide.

Here's the google page for the topic;  hXXp://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=heinz+pulls+tv+ad&btnG=Google+Search&meta=

That's the petition site to put the ad back on tv.

          hhmmm well yes
to be honest with you the feel of the ad is very toungue-in-cheek
it's not exactly gay domestic bliss - it's more straight couple taking the piss

im not at all bothered that this ad has beed withdrawn because i would far prefer to see something more flattering representing a gay family than bad food and scarcastic grumpy bloke.

My problem with this, is that they pulled the ad because they received 203 complaints over a 1 week period.

As I previously pointed out, even if the ad only ran once, that would make it 1 complaint per 30,000 ITV viewers.  But as it is, you have to take the viewing figures and expand it to cover the whole week.

They are catering to a small group of bigots, so I won't buy their shit anymore.

I was watching Bill O'reilly and I saw him air an ad like this… Although I don't know if it's the same one... It was about Mayonnaise or something, but he made this big uproar and everything. The funny thing was that he imported the ad... He's retarded. I also think it's dumb about the 200 complaints. If it were, I don't know, 25,000 then it'd be different... 😠

The ad was for their new deli style mayonnaise.  So it's probably the same one.

                    **REDICULOUS!

Did they not expect any complaints? It is totally a numbers game, per view you will get x amount that do not agree or like it.

Come to think of it, I didn't like the recent Macaroni and Cheese commercial. I guess I will get my neighborhood to call in and complain! Do you think the same results would prevail? noooo.

I find this so alarming. Where are the world's priorities?

This is alarming to me because I have had issues with International Corporations before and currently i.e. DOMINO'S- and yet I cannot even get a phone call or any response back at all about a very simple issue. It isn't just an issue I have either, many do and they seem to blatently disregard any requests to resolve it. Now there's customer service for ya!

Don't get me started about Americanized Chinese Take-out…  :o**

i rather wonder , why people get homophobic again , although many countries have established gay rights and people learnt to accept gays .
Can it be that gays have to be blamed too ?
