Not Receiving Credit for Seeding
-
Although I leave files to seed, and I see that I have sent back multiple gigabytes, I never seem to get credit for the amounts seeded on gaytorrent.ru. Despite the fact that I am seeding quite a bit, my ration never changes. I am using Utorrent 3.3. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

gerhardt, with the figures you have you would need to seed huge amounts to change your ratio to a noticeable amount
Right now you have uploaded (roughly, all figures) 954 GB and downloaded 1187 GB to give a ratio of .801
If you uploaded another 10 GB and downloaded nothing else your ratio would move to .803 - that's just the way the system works.
Now if you say that the actual figures of data transferred, rather than the ratio, don't change, keep some notes.

:thx: cannonmc you gave an excellent answer to this dilemma
@ gerhardt ~ :panic: you are currently at the last hurdle in the ratio game ~ maintaining a ratio of .800 forevermore @ GT.ru. For some members this is a difficult time as well. It is unheard of on most torrent sites to have this ratio but it is the considered opinion of the Staff and Owner of GT.ru, that our ratio requirements are vital for continuation and growth of the site. P2P is all about sharing what you took and most P2P users think that you should give exactly what you take. That would mean a ratio of 1:1, so in this perspective, .800 is not so bad for a minimum ratio. Also, once you reach a download amount over 1 TB, the amount you have to share becomes much larger than ever before. Just hang in there and continue to seed 24/7 ~ keep all your downloads available 24/7 and you will come out of this situation. You may have to limit your downloads for the time being or you could be smart and use your experience and knowledge gained thus far and continue to download, but only from the newest posts to the tracker ~ 1 seeder ~ and try to pick torrents that you feel will be popular as well. The sooner you jump on the initial upload the better in most cases. These torrents will upload while you download as new leechers come on line. This will help to offset the download amount quicker than with older less popular torrents.
Because you are an uploader of new content, I have chosen 1 of your uploads and have given you 200 seed bonus points to help you along with this last Ratio hurdle. :ok2:
:thankyou: for supporting GT.ru!!!

Cannonmc: Many thanks for taking the time to respond to my message regarding upload credits. It was especially helpful for you to point out the mathematical intricacies of the upload to download ratio.
At the end of your message, you commented, "if you say the actual figures of data transferred, rather than the ration, don't change, keep some notes." So, I have done just that and I can report that, in fact, despite uploading about 1 GB today, my actual reported upload amount remained the same, "953.99".
leatherbear: Your guidance and terrific advice related to the issue which I expressed about receiving upload credit was most helpful. It was especially informative to read your remarks about the importance of upload ratios and the high standards maintained on gaytorrents.ru. Also, I am deeply grateful for your granting me 200 seed bonus points!

Can you test if your µTorrent is connectible:
µTorrent > Options > Setup Guide > select the "Network" test and run the test.
Does it return a green check sign or an orange?
-
Ran the test - got a GREEN check sign.
-
Ah Ha! Upload number now read "954.0" which is an increase. Something must have happened and the meter is running again! Thanks all.

If you run the "Network" test, you enable automatic port mapping (by default) and your µTorrent not being connectible upon may as a result become connectible.
