Redownloading my own torrents. Will it affect my ratio?
-
So I was wiping my SSD yesterday cuz I upgraded and I wanted to seld the old one... But I now remember I had all my porn in there.
Is there a way to download my own torrents to keep reseeding? Does it affect my ratio¡ -
@MrGunnard not possible to download without consuming your ratio, even if the torrents were previously downloaded or even if you uploaded them yourself. if you don't have a backup, you're out of luck. since it was a SSD, it is most likely impossible to recover the files using specialized software.
You will need to download all again and it will consume your ratio. And let's just forget that some torrents have already died or been deleted, so...

If I may suggest an alternative solution....
I was careless and rushed when cleaning up my system recently, and deleted the entire partition on one of my drives. Panic ensued as I obviously thought that was it since deleting a partition is usually more permanent than simply deleting the files. FEAR NOT! I looked around and found a little program called "Disk Drill" from Cleverfiles. Ran it and managed to recover virtually everything form the deleted partition.
Forget the free version as you can't really do anything with it, but I managed to find the full version on another torrent site and it worked like a charm. Have a hunt around and see if you can find a copy.

Needless to say (I hope!) you should avoid doing ANYTHING else with the drive until you've tried recovery. If you overwrite the deleted data again you just make it less likely that you can recover it.

@MrGunnard
Always back up your files or copy in a separate external drive w/c are cheaper nowadays or in network ...
To avoid losing data before formatting disk upon permanent deletion ... -
God damn. Oh well.
It would be cool to have my own torrents available for myself.
