      Hi All
First time attempting a torrent upload here…
Have followed the upload guides - but still having some issues

I have uploaded a torrent using the Quick Torrent maker
I can see it under my profile as an uploaded torrent:
      https://www.gaytorrent.ru/details.php?id=153134

I can see it in my uTorrent (3.2.1) window
But the status is always "Failure: Your download rights got taken> read the rues of contact a moderator"

It seems that a moderator has to approve a torrent before it can go live? #
      Is this corrent?

Its been 18 hours since the torrent was uploaded… how long does it take for a torrent to generally be approved by a mod?

      Any guidance would be appreciated!
      Thanks in Advance!

Did you download the file from GTRU and load that into your client and seed that copy of the file?

I don't think that i have to do that as i used the Quick torrent maker application?

The torrent file is in my utorrent application… but the status just shows
Failure: Your download rights got taken. read the rules of contact a moderator"

How long does it normally take for a mod to approve a torent posting?

This has to do with QTM and µTorrent 3.x.x series versions. Something changed in the 3 series so that QTM fails to "tell" µTorrent where the data file(s) are. Then µTorrent tries to download the data.

This is why we recommend to use the last stable built of µTorrent 2 series 2.2.1 > https://www.gaytorrent.ru/details.php?id=135394
(in the description of that torrent is given an URL to the direct download).

Try these steps in µTorrent/BitTorrent to change from downloading to seeding:

1/ Stop the torrent (do NOT remove)
2/ Click with the right mouse button on the torrent in µTorrent's list and select "Advanced" > "Set Download Location…" > navigate to the file location and confirm (Save)
3/ Right mouse button click on the torrent in µTorrent's list and select "Force re-check". The torrent should check to 100% and µTorrent displaying "Finished" instead of "Stopped" in the status column.
4/ Restart the torrent, it shall go to "Seeding" or at least to "Queued seeding"

If that fails, it won't work again. Next steps will be advised in case of failure.

Hello. I am also having this problem. It is my first upload. I try to force re-check, but it never reaches 100% before stopping. Why this happen?

There are many possible reasons why that can happen. A very likely is that the first attempt you selected the wrong file (or folder if multiple files). Unfortunately once that happened, even re-pointing to the right file (or folder) won't work any more.

Then there exist three possible work around.

1/ Recommendable with a single file torrent:
                  a) Selecting the torrent in µTorrent's/BitTorrent's file list, then the "Files" tab in the lower window part
                  b) Right mouse button click on the file and select the "Relocate…" function in the list (last item)
                  c) Navigate to the file, select it and confirm "Save" or "OK"
                  d) Force a recheck and once checked to 100% start the torrent

2/ Recommendable if a multiple file torrent:
                  a) Delete the torrent, but not the data files, from µTorrent's/BitTorrent's file list
                  b) Go to the torrent description page on GayTorrent.ru, click "Download" and open with µTorrent/BitTorrent
                  c) When µTorrent/BiTorrent opens the torrent, it shall show a small window to confirm the download location. There click the ". . ." button
                  d) Navigate to the file, respectively folder, from which the torrent has been created, select it and confirm "Save" or "OK"
                  e) Force a recheck and once checked to 100% start the torrent

3/ If above fails, remove the torrent from µTorrent/BitTorrent and from GayTorrent.ru and redo the upload.

QTM user can avoid this issue in future by downgrading to µTorrent 2.2.1 > https://www.gaytorrent.ru/details.php?id=135394

Edit 2013-09-03 Popper: with QTM V1.9, the need to set manually the file location when using with µTorrent 3.x series (and the corresponding versions of BitTorrent 7.x) is no longer required . Therefore the suggestion to downgrade to µTorrent 2.2.1 to use with QTM became obsolete.

Ok Uwe, thank you for your help. We are moving in the right direction now. I used Quicktorrentmaker to redo upload. It now says seeding. It is red and a message says 'connection closed by peer'. It is not visible on the main page. Do i have to do something more? Or do i just wait for something to change in time? Thank you.

Occasionally I get that connection closed by peer message on my seeds, too. usually it goes away with the next tracker update. I guess it was the case with yours, because the torrent is listed as seed in your Profile.

Upload of data will start about 30 minutes after someone starts to download.
