Sorry but this is not misleading at all. If the source material comes from a DVD and you are copyring the integrity of said material, it's a DVD rip. It can be a demux, a transcode, a simple copy of the root structure or creating a disc image.
The website indeed have a rule that states that all DVD uploads MUST be an exact copy of the VIDEO_TS folder structure or a disc image, meaning any other ripping method is unnaceptable. In this case it's not a mere case of labelling.
This whole question shreds some light into the (lack of) rulling on material that is known to have been ripped or transcoded. Most websites require the uploader to inform what is the source material and which processes the final material originate from.
For instance, most torrents from today are composed of files that were originally delivered in a digital format, a member can upload a video and then have it re-uploaded by someone else who have re-encoded it into a smaller resolution, lower bitrate or different coding format, or additionaly an "AI enhanced" version.
So there's that, you could argue that, solely based on the current rule, a DVD ripped into a single video container is not allowed, but you cannot argue that it's not a DVD rip.
