Getting use to a 4k Monitor
-
I bought a new PC with a 4k monitor. jumping from 1080p that I am used to for many years to 4k takes my eyes some getting used to. It's like I need to focus in order to see.
Is it noraml?

@Kekkaishi No, it is not normal. What is your display scaling? If you have it set to a size too small, increase the scaling and make things a bit larger.
I Googled, and your issue could be any number of things involved. How far away is it from your eyes? Too close and that could also be a cause. Is it separate from the rest of your computer? Or is it an all-in-one computer?
Also, how large is the screen itself? You could also have a screen that's too large for the distance it is from where your eyes are.
What type of cable (if any) are you using to connect it to your computer? There are different types of cables, and if you are using the wrong type for that monitor, that could also be a reason.
Not to mention, is your computer capable of handling a 4k signal and properly sending it to the monitor? Or did you simply hook up a 4k monitor to a 1080p or SD computer? If it's a new PC as you say, then the monitor and PC should be working correctly with each other.
More information from you about the rest of your equipment is needed to fully understand where your issue lies. -
@Kekkaishi I also forgot...how is your vision normally? Do you wear glasses or contacts? If so, you may also need an updated prescription. Be sure to relax your eyes to focus instead of straining them to focus. That will only make things worse.

@Kekkaishi pretty normal! Going from my usual 768p to 1080p back in the day had the same effect. It takes a long time to get used to the new pixel density. Things that used to take 10% of your screen now barely take 4%, everything seems so small for a while. But after a while you get used to it, and going back to a lower resolution makes everything look cluttered and too enormous.
But this process of getting used to a new resolution is not the only factor, most webpages are still designed exclusively for 1080p and will only fill a small portion of the screen, and yet text will still look too small in some cases. It's okay if you prefer to add a little zoom to make text more visible, specially if you have a smaller screen. Pixel density in a small 4K monitor is so ridiculous that some characters might look like an ant

@Kekkaishi It is normal. It takes a couple of days getting used to.
