Why My Seeding Doesn't Count?
-
Hi guys,
I'm currently seeding over 20 torrents but the system only recognises 18.
I thought everything was being counted just fine but now I know more than 20gb of uploading was for nothing.
Does anybody know why this is happening?
Upload speeds are good on the torrent torrent but it doesn't appear on the seeding torrent list on my profile. -

@FunnyStory for your torrents to count as seeding you need to download 100% of it. That means you must download all files.
For big torrents with lots of files, people usually only select a handful, or leave a couple of files unselected. When they finish downloading the torrent client will report a seeding status, because you have finished downloading everything you've selected. But for the GT tracker you have never finished downloading.
This means that the torrents in this situation will always count as leeching. But it's important to say that every byte that you upload will count, it really doesn't matter if the torrent is seeding or leeching. If you have uploaded 20GB of a torrent that don't count as seeding, you still have uploaded 20GB and that's all that matters.
You only need to be careful with this one rule: torrents that you haven't fully downloaded will keep using a download slot for as long as they are active. In the future you might end up with so many torrents that you haven't downloaded 100% of the content that you'll be unable to download new torrents because your download slots will be in use by them.
Make sure to identify the ones that are counting as leeching and mark them with some sort of tag or category so that you can find and pause them whenever you need to.
