      After a disastrous experience with a cat I felt strongly  disposed to try again but with a dog this time…eh... what the heck! I was led to that by my friend too who lives with a little pet doggie named Foofie since 12 years.
      "You see -he once said- Foofie is so tender and affectionate...  :love: moreover he doesn't even cost a lot, he eats only 150 g (5 1/2 ounces) of turkey meat a day..."
      and in these days of financial difficulties  :cry2: these are things that count my dear fellas and friends don't they?  🙂
      So  I said to myself "Ok, tomorrow I will go to the city dog's house and I will look for a Foofie's impersonator to adopt"
      But in the sleepless and tortured by mosquitoes night another thing was buzzing too in my mind: a crazy operation:

      12 x 365 x 150 = 657000 g --> 657 Kg --> 1450 pounds

      Since the meat my friend fed Foofie with was without bones or other scraps, this approximately corresponded to the need of 300 big turkeys.
      So, I wondered, the possibility of this 12 years long adventure of my friend with Foofie had costed the life of 300 poor turkeys and this thing made me so uneasy... so uneasy my dear fellas and friends... but, at a given point, suddenly, the enlightenment...
      BINGO! I will get a turkey as a pet!  :jaj: Butt, butt, butt... There was still something stopping me... strange I'd say... didn't seem to me a feeling of pity for the grain.  ???
