How to set up automatic stop to download?
-
Story is... I forgot to stop a download before freeleech period ended and messed up my ratio quite a bit (it was a 1 TB big torrent).
So now to learn from that story, do you know any tool that could prevent this happening again? -
Okay, maybe this question is irrelevant, because I would have to upload 484 Gb to fix my ratio... Which is a lot bigger problem lol

Keep in mind that Freeleech will trigger your ratio at the end of 1hr period remaining time ...
[So always prepared in Freeleech duration before downloading them] ...
In utorrent there is an option to do this known as Transfer Cap:
Click on Options/Preferences/ - You can enable and limit download/upload ...
When it reaches your setting it will stop ... -
As i see this is based on the amount of data. Is there a way to set time as a cap? So it stops after the freeleech duration, even if it's unfinished. But I think im loosing my account anyways...

@Cosmicalcorg I can't think of any software that allows for that, to be really honest with you it would be much simpler and easier to just set an alarm based on the freeleech time left, supposing you're on Windows it's a built-in app, then you can just go and stop the download yourself.
Regarding to your ratio, you can fix it and it's not that hard. If your ratio falls to a critical level you still have a gracetime period, meaning you can still download torrent files. After that gracetime is over your account is locked, but you can use that period to download freeleech stuff and use it to fix your ratio.
For example, I download a torrent months ago, it's a 10GB torrent, not that large. It was freeleeched a few days ago, that alone gave me 200GB of upload.

Thanks, I will try to seed freeleech stuff.
