The last time we were at a bar was a long time ago, but they are very important places to meet, mingle, and much more.
How has this affected you and yours so far?

A lot in my city: people don't go to bars and pubs anymore. People are afraid of going to crowded bars and not being able to keep the obligatory sanitary distance that Spanish authorities recommend.
In my case, both my friend and I have not gone to pubs and bars for a long time… We try to meet our friends always outside (fortunately the weather is Madrid is still mild and we can still meet outside the bars).

In the UK, pubs/bars have been dying for 20 years because of the taxes put on alcohol under Tony Blair.
People tend to get drunk at home, then go to the clubs, skipping the pubs and bars.

This is exactly what people are starting to do these days in Madrid: people get together at home to drink so that people don't spend money outside. Or people drink on the street (like drinking in a park) and then go to the clubs.
