I LOVE that Cyndi Lauper's song!!!

From the list, for sure for me, Donna Summer, "I feel love": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nm-ISatLDG0

          And Madonna's "Vogue": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GuJQSAiODqI

Left our apartment at 3 in the morning to go wait in line in the cold dreary weather to get tickets for a Valentine's Day concert by her. Was not the first in line! We still got front row center (tip: second row is better!).

Unfortunately we kept looking at each other and giggling during the concert, because that was the day we found out the offer on our current home was accepted.

One of our best Valentine's though

Don't know if all of these songs are considered "Gay Pride" songs (at least in France) but the letters G-A-Y shine like neon lights!

Donna Summer's I Feel Love had a really important musical impact, not only for the gay clubs back in time of the disco period, but also because this new sound totally revolutionised the dance music. It was released in 1976!!

I think that in terms of electronical music revolutions, we had 3:

                • 1976: DS's I Feel Love
                • 1987: New Order - Blue Monday
                • 1999: Fischerspooner - Emerge

YMCA, You Make Me Feel, etc. are gay anthems to me, musical witnesses of a way of gay life back in the old days.

I feel Madonna' Vogue like a commercial reappropriation of the ballrooms contests but it's my inner feeling.

For me, if there is one "Gay Pride" anthem, it would be Diana Ross's I'm Coming Out for the symbolism of its title.
